Gay Jones & Kuhn Opens Arkansas Office

Gay Jones & Kuhn PLLC (GJ&K) is excited to announce the opening of its newest office in El Dorado, Arkansas. GJ&K is a women-owned law firm founded by Mary Margaret Gay, Sarah Beth Jones, and Joanna Kuhn serving clients in Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama.   GJ&K is founded on a desire to operate under a new model of service—one that provides a wide array of quality legal services and legal solutions to clients in a way that encourages creativity, efficiency and collaboration.

Joanna Kuhn who will lead the firm’s Arkansas office has called El Dorado home for the past six years. “I am excited to open the GJ&K office here at home.  El Dorado is a vibrant community that welcomed my family with open arms.  I am thrilled to bring GJ&K’s services not only to El Dorado, but to all of South Arkansas.”

Managing Member, Mary Margaret Gay, is also an Arkansas native who grew up in South Arkansas and attended Hendrix College before moving to Mississippi.  “I am thrilled about the opening of our Arkansas office.  Over the years, I looked for opportunities to give back to my childhood home and help keep South Arkansas moving forward.  Joanna is a great lawyer who will provide the exceptional legal services and support growth in South Arkansas.” 

Joanna earned her B.B.A. at Mississippi State University and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi.  She served as a Federal Bankruptcy Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Neil P. Olack, Southern District of Mississippi, before entering private practice.  Joanna is married to Scott Kuhn, and they have two small children. Joanna has a passion for serving children in her community and is an active member of the El Dorado Service League, a non-profit women’s organization whose mission is to serve the children of Union County by providing assistance for medical, education and other charitable needs.  Joanna also currently serves as the organization’s Treasurer.

The El Dorado office will be located at 443 North Washington Avenue and will focus on business development, corporate legal support, special education law and estate planning.  Joanna will also continue in her national role on the firm’s risk management and strategic planning team.
