Oxford Attorney Joins Gay Jones & Kuhn Team

Gay Jones & Kuhn PLLC is pleased to welcome former Mississippi Special Assistant Attorney General and Oxford-based attorney, Tricia Richardson, to the firm. Tricia will be leading GJK’s new Oxford, Mississippi office which is set to open this fall. Tricia will serve clients in Oxford and throughout North Mississippi. Tricia will also assist the firm’s national clients with litigation discovery.

Tricia brings over ten years of experience in the legal profession. Following a clerkship with Hickman Goza & Spragins, Tricia served as a law clerk then staff attorney with the Mississippi Department of Human Services serving Chancery Court Districts which included Benton, Coahoma, Chickasaw, Desoto, Lafayette, Lee, Pontotoc, Marshall, Monroe, Quitman, Tippah Counties. Tricia joined the Mississippi Department of Human Services, Child Support Division in 2014 and went on to serve as the Special Assistant Attorney General in the North Mississippi Office of the Attorney General, State Agencies Division. Tricia is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi.

Tricia, a native of Biloxi, Mississippi, earned her B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi and her juris doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Tricia brings a wealth of courtroom experience and trial skills in navigating all aspects of litigation.

Tricia is a current member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association, and the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford. She resides in Oxford, Mississippi with her husband, three children, and their dog.
