National Paralegal and Children’s Special Needs Advocate Joins Gay Jones & Kuhn PLLC

April 18, 2019

National paralegal Rachel Roberts has joined Gay Jones & Kuhn PLLC as the firm’s Litigation Coordinator and Lead Client Paralegal.

Rachel was born in Nashville, Tennessee and moved to Mississippi where she was raised and began her career following college.   Rachel has more than fifteen years of experience serving as a mass tort paralegal for clients involved in national litigation.  Rachel began her career as a National Client Paralegal in the Jackson, Mississippi office of Forman Perry Watkins Krutz & Tardy LLP where she worked for 11 years, after which she continued in a similar role at Maron Marvel Bradley Anderson & Tardy LLC.  Rachel’s attention to detail and organizational skills necessary for managing large litigation matters and special projects has been lauded by her colleagues and clients.  “Rachel is one of the best paralegals I have ever worked with.  She is dedicated and excels at everything she puts her mind to.  She sees a problem or challenge and finds a solution,” says attorney Sarah Beth Jones.

During her career, Rachel has worked on projects of every scale.  She was a paralegal on the Federal Asbestos MDL team which led to the dismissal of more than 100,000 cases.  She has served on local and national trial preparation teams, was integral in the background research for our trust transparency database and provides day to day support for small business clients.

As a mother of a daughter with Mosaic Down Syndrome, Rachel understands first-hand the personal and educational challenges facing both individuals with developmental disabilities as well as their parents and guardians.  “I know from personal experience how complicated and daunting the process of finding educational resources and advocates for a child can be for a parent.   I am excited to expand this work at Gay Jones & Kuhn.  I enjoy my work as a defense litigation paralegal but love the balance that advocating for children in my community provides.”
